#WorldRefugeeDay
Today, on the World Refugee Day we are thrilled to announce the opening of our young talents’ virtual and Print@Home exhibition “Be Your Own Hero”. We call Creative Fellowship community to raise awareness and support young people in challenging life situations attempting to move forward and start anew.
To personally contribute follow 3 easy steps:
1. Download Print@Home “Be Your Own Hero” exhibition files,
2. Print and display the exhibition in any suitable public space,
3. Tell the story for those who need to be heard!
Each year on June 20 the Globe comes together to honor World Refugee Day. World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to celebrate the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to the effects of natural or human-made disasters.
Together with UNHCR we at #creativefellowship believe that creativity and art have the power to raise awareness and spread hope. Therefore, we asked young amateur artists across the World to show their artistic solidarity with those young people who found themselves in challenging life situations by sharing their vision on the resiliency and strength of everyday heroes who live amongst us. Young, displaced talents were also proactively invited to participate in the project through such educational institutions as La Sallay Academy and World Federation of Ukrainian Women Organizations. The Print@Home exhibition is curated by Petra Zublasing the industrial artist and Olympian from Italy.
How can you personally contribute to the “Be Your Own Hero” campaign?
Download our “Be Your Own Hero” Print@Home exhibition and install it in any public space you feel suitable for raising awareness and commencing a conversation about integrating young people starting anew in life challenging situations. Display the artworks anywhere from community centers, schools and city halls to office lobbies, cafes, and beauty salons! Help us to tell the story for those who need to be heard!
