OPEN CALL CREATIVE CHALLENGE
WHAT IS LOVE?
PRIZE: READY2PRINT ONLINE EXIBITION and 2027 PLANNER
OPEN CALL – WHAT IS LOVE?
This open call invites young artists aged 8 – 18 to explore and express thoughts and ideas on what love means to them.
CREATIVE BRIEF
Project Overview
Love is something we all feel – but each of us understands it differently.
Imagine love in all its forms – kindness, friendship, family, care, courage, connection, or even something unexpected. Let your creativity express what cannot always be said in words.
Objective:
This project invites you to explore and express your ideas about what love is using any of the following artistic techniques:
- Drawing (pencil, ink, charcoal, markers)
- Painting (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, oil)
- Illustration (digital or hand-drawn)
- Collaging (mixed media, cutouts, layering images and text)
- Photography (digital, analog, experimental techniques)
Your artwork should reflect your personal perspective on how love is unfolding before us.
Theme Inspiration
Consider these questions to help shape your creative vision:
- What does love look like to you?
- Where do you see love in everyday life?
- How do people show love — to each other, to nature, to the world?
- Can love be quiet? Loud? Invisible?
- What does a loving world look like?
- How do you feel when you give or receive love?
Final Thought:
Through your artwork you can show the world what love means to you.
