Yesterday the Solway music camp fellows met young talents from more than 15 countries at the Arenberg Palace – the campers’ home-to-be for the whole following week. Upon their arrival, the Ödipus Camp participants were greeted by the mentors in set designing, music performanceyy, singing, directing and acting. In their greeting speeches the camp organizers acknowledged that staging an opera within a week is always a challenge, but because of the Ödipus’ deepness, this time their joint work with the students is expected to extend the horizons of creativity and bring many surprises. In their blitz interviews the Solway fellows shared that they are looking forward to meeting new friends, exploring new cultures and sharing talents with people from all over the world.
