Last night Solway music camp fellows finally had a chance to greet each other in person. After months of e-acquaintance, the talents met upon landing at the Salzburg airport. For many of them the trip to Austria was their first ever experience on the plane and abroad. At dinner the youngsters shared their impressions. Anastasia Lavrenyuk from Ukraine confessed that at first the airport seemed a bit scary but after the travellers met the airline representative, responsible for safely delivering them to Salzburg, things lightened up. Stefan Eftimov from Macedonia surprised his new camp mates by declaring that he has already been to the international camps. He explained that his first solo trip was to Switzerland two years ago where he took part in the peace building camp. Arthur Ardelyan from Ukraine and Miguel Tiul from Guatemala were caught discussing similarities and differences of living in their hometowns, while Monika Trayanova (Macedonia) and Carlos Guzman (Guatemala) were expressing their opinions over the Austrian cuisine. At the end of the evening Anastasia Lavrenyuk summarized everyone’s first impressions by saying: I am totally overwhelmed by the whole trip so far. It was all worth it! Every step, every effort I invested!”
