About India Rose:
Originally from Los Angeles, India trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., and later with Gelsey Kirkland in New York City. At 19, she became a founding member of the Gelsey Kirkland Ballet, performing soloist and principal roles in Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Raymonda, and Paquita, under the guidance of Gelsey Kirkland, Vera Solovieva, and Nikolai Levitsky. She later moved to Paris to study the Kniaseff floor barre method with Jacqueline Fynnaert and performed with the Opéra National de Bordeaux and Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse. During the pandemic, she launched online floor barre classes to support dancers worldwide.
Now based in Paris, she continues to perform in productions with Paris Opera’s étoile Karl Paquette, including Swan Lake and Nutcracker at Mogador and Châtelet Theatres, while also teaching floor barre internationally as a faculty member of Ballet with Isabella.
