Looking back at the past summer months, we can’t help but envy our fellows! What a season it has been!
Opera Camps in Salzburg, Dance Workshops in Bolzano, Exhibitions in Radovish and Versailles — and so much more.
In Salzburg, our fellow from Greece, Mila Karpova, while staging the youth version of the Schoenberg–Mahler opera Erwartung / Abschied, met world-famous director Peter Sellars, visited an opera house for the very first time, rehearsed with musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and performed on the stage of one of the most renowned music universities.
In Bolzano, thanks to our new collaboration with the Südtiroler Kulturinstitut and the Bolzano Danza Workshops, Davor Milev, a dance student from North Macedonia, had the opportunity to train under the mentorship of internationally acclaimed dancers and teachers — an experience that turned out to be truly transformative. Check out our reels to hear Davor’s reflections on the workshops and catch a glimpse of Bolzano’s breathtaking scenery.
In Périgord Noir, France, Michaela Lazareva (violinist, North Macedonia) became the youngest participant of this year’s International Baroque Academy. Over 10 days, she was introduced to the baroque violin, performed in three concerts, and connected with extraordinary artists whose life mission is to preserve and share the tradition of baroque music.
In Versailles and Radovish, more than 40 young artists from 11 countries participating in our Ready2Print project saw their works exhibited in their first international group show, The Future is Now.
In Vienna, Savely Shevtsov, a ballet student from Serbia, successfully completed his first year at the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy — a dream we were proud to help him turn into reality.
As for us, we also learned and grew this summer: from the opera and drama camps in Salzburg, to refining our dance skills under the mentorship of Sharon Booth, Artistic Director of the Bolzano Danza Workshops. We supported two of our donors in developing and implementing their community outreach campaigns, secured three new partnerships, and worked on projects designed to nurture young talent and make classical art both engaging and accessible.
