Premio Vienna Danza invites young dancers from Europe and beyond to apply for its 2025 edition!
Open to soloists, duos, and groups in:
Classical / Neo-Classical, Contemporary, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Fantasy, and Character Dance.

Super Baby: 5–6 years
Baby: 7–10 years
Children: 11–13 years
Juniores: 14–17 years
Seniores: 18+

Group entries may include up to 30% fuoriquota dancers (outside the age bracket).
Participants representing schools, academies, or as independents

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Premio Vienna Danza is an international dance competition open to dancers of all nationalities and styles.
It celebrates artistic excellence, creativity, and the commitment of young dancers from across Europe and beyond.

Supported by the Amateur Sports Association Brianza Danza Festival, the competition provides a platform for emerging talents to perform before a distinguished international jury composed of choreographers, teachers, and industry professionals.

Registration Instructions
Registrations open from 20 August 2025

To register, you must send by email to premioviennadanza@libero.it the following documents for each participant:

  • Copy of identity document
  • The rules and registration forms, duly completed and signed (download [here])
  • Privacy notice, duly completed and signed (download [here])
  • Sports medical certificate
  • Copy of the bank transfer receipt confirming payment of the registration fee
  • Submission of the music as mp3 tracks (this can also be sent after registration, but by 23 November at the latest)

For minor participants, a parent or legal guardian must sign the forms, which counts as authorization to participate in the competition.

Fees must be paid by 17 November 2025 and are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Registration Fees

The participation fee for each choreography is:

  • Solo (Super Baby): €50
  • Solo (Baby & Children): €60
  • Solo (Juniores & Seniores): €70
  • Pas de Deux / Duo (Super Baby & Baby): €80 per pair
  • Pas de Deux / Duo (Children, Juniores & Seniores): €100 per pair
  • Groups of 3 to 7 members: €35 per participant
  • Groups of 8 to 25 members: €30 per participant

The registration fee for the event will not be refunded in case of withdrawal by the participant. Travel, food, and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of participants. If the registration is not compliant with the rules, the organization is not bound to refund the fee or any costs incurred.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Age Categories

  • Super Baby: 5-6 years
  • Baby: 7-10 years
  • Children: 11-13 years
  • Juniores: 14-17 years
  • Seniores: 18 years and above

For groups of any category, dancers who are “fuoriquota” (i.e. outside the age bracket of the group) may be included up to a maximum of 30% of the total number of members.
E.g. a group of ten may include at most three fuoriquota dancers.

3) Registration Procedure

  • Registration must be done via the official registration forms, fully completed and signed, one form per choreography.
  • For minors, a parent or legal guardian must sign, which counts as authorization to participate.
  • Each school or association may participate in multiple sections with the same dancers (provided different choreographies), and may enter the same section with multiple choreographies (if the dancers differ by at least 80% of the group).
  • The organizers reserve the right to reject incomplete, improperly filled, or late applications.
  • Entry fees are to be paid by bank transfer to A.S.D. Brianza Danza Festival, Banco Intesa San Paolo, Third Sector branch.

  • Fees must be paid by 17 November 2025 and are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Registrations will only be accepted once the secretariat receives the completed registration forms and a copy of the bank transfer by email to premioviennadanza@libero.it.
  • The organization may close registrations early if the maximum number of participants is reached.
  • A medical fitness certificate (certificato medico sportivo) must be attached for each participant.

4) Sections (Styles / Types)

Choreographies will be grouped into the following categories, according to their style / predominant technique:

  • Classical / Neo-Classical dance (repertoire, free variations, new works)
  • Contemporary dance
  • Hip Hop
  • Modern Jazz / Video Dance
  • Fantasy
  • Character / Theatrical Dances

5) Entry Fees

The participation fee for each choreography is:

  • Solo — Super Baby: €50
  • Solo — Baby & Children: €60
  • Solo — Juniores & Seniores: €70
  • Pas de Deux / Duo — Super Baby & Baby: €80 per pair
  • Pas de Deux / Duo — Children, Juniores & Seniores: €100 per pair
  • Groups of 3 to 7 dancers: €35 per participant
  • Groups of 8 to 25 dancers: €30 per participant

Notes:

  • The registration fee is not refundable in case of withdrawal. Travel, accommodation, and food expenses are borne by participants.
  • If the registration does not conform to the rules, the organization is not obliged to refund the fee or any incurred expenses.
  • A 10% discount is applied for a second choreography for the same student, and 20% from the third onwards (for groups of any style).

6) Technical Management

If a minimum number of participants is not reached, the organization reserves the right to merge or eliminate categories. Participants may be asked to perform in another section in such cases.

7) Choreography Duration

  • For groups: maximum 6 minutes
  • For solos / pas de deux / duos: maximum 3 minutes
  • A tolerance margin of 30 seconds is allowed for all categories.

8) Musical Track

  • Music must be sent as mp3 files by email to premioviennadanza@libero.it at the time of registration (by 17 November) or, in exceptional cases, by 23 November.
  • Files must be named with: Name of the choreography, Name of the school
  • The music must be of excellent quality. The choreographies must not be protected by copyright or registered with SIAE.
  • As a backup, participants should also bring a USB stick with the music to hand in to the staff at registration (though the originals should have been sent already).

9) Judgment and Final Ranking

  • A jury composed of qualified experts (teachers, choreographers, well-known figures) will judge all categories.
  • The rankings and votes by the jury are final and unchallengeable.
  • Judging is based on four parameters (plus an extra for groups): Technique, Artistic Interpretation, Musicality, Choreography, Ability to function as an ensemble (for groups)
  • Judges may interrupt or ask for repeats if needed for their evaluation.
  • The competition does not provide for pre-selections.

10) Prizes

  • Cups and/or medals for first, second, and third place in every category
  • Scholarships for stage / masterclasses in Italy and abroad (including Vienna), awarded at the jury’s discretion
  • Selected participants may gain direct admission to prestigious academies in Italy and abroad
  • Cash prize for the performance considered best by the jury
  • The jury may decide not to award a prize if there are no deserving participants.
  • No ties (ex aequo) are allowed.

11) General Rules

  • Participants and group leaders should go to dressing rooms one hour before their performance, following the published running order schedule (available on the website and social pages).
  • By registering, participants waive any performance copyright claims, any compensation for participation, and authorize the organizers to freely use their image and personal data, per privacy rules.
  • Participants assume responsibility for their physical fitness. The organization is not liable for damage to persons or property during the event.
  • Groups, couples or soloists accept all parts of this regulation upon registration.
  • The order of performance is by choreography title and assigned entry number.
  • The organization reserves the right to modify the rules for operational reasons; by registering, participants accept this possibility.
