The Creative Fellowship is open to driven and passionate talents in music, singing, dancing or acting aged 15 – 17 from EU and Eastern European non-EU member states that find themselves in financial need or other life challenging circumstances.

This fellowship offers at the time of the Salzburg Opera Camps 2026 a chance to participate in a learning environment with international peers and develop new creative skills to enhance artistic performance of an applicant.

Our goal is to award and recognize a student with exemplary skill or interest in in music, singing, dancing or acting who demonstrates a high level of commitment, creativity and technical/performance ability.

The felowship comprises a one-week opera camp participation at the Opera Camps 2026 in Salzburg. Any travelling or attached logistics costs should be covered by different sources and taken care of by the applicant.

Additionally on a case-to-case basis Creative Fellowship can offer support in pre and post-camp meet and greet, escort, guardianship or cultural experience services. This should be negotiated separately after the applicant receives acceptance confirmation from the Salzburg opera camps organizers.

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR OPERA CAMPS IS FEBRUARY 1, 2026, 1 p.m. Please DM us on Instagram or email us at arts@creativefellowship.org in case you need any assistance or more information on the registration.Accepted candidates will be informed by the beginning of March 2026.To apply for the fellowship, accepted camp attendants should submit:

  • confirmation of acceptance by the Salzburg opera camps
  • A2 or B1 level confirmation of English or German proficiency
  • a one-page statement on what your life challenging situation is and why you want to participate in the Salzburg opera camps,
  • a video link (YouTube or Vimeo) with the talent proof of your choice(3 minutes max). Other technical requirements for the video file include the following:
    • Links to videos on public sites such as “YouTube” should be unlisted or password protected, but not marked private.
  • Photographs:
  • in Portrait format with clear background. “Selfies” are not acceptable.
  • For dancers: a staged photo in a dance position that shows the line of the body. ​
    • Include the applicant’s full name in the file name of the photograph – Use jpg, jpeg or png file format and make sure that individual images do not exceed 10MB in file size.

Please note: only talents in music, singing, dancing or acting aged 15 – 17 from EU and Eastern European non-EU member states that find themselves in financial need or other life challenging circumstances would be considered.Once the application is submitted, we will contact you back and offer interview time slots. The decision will be taken based on completion of the application file and results of the interview.
