Solway CEO Dan Bronstein and president of the Salzburg Festival Helga Rabl-Stadler met to greet Solway fellows this morning. Both of them wished the fellows to enjoy their time in Salzburg, create friends and get as much as possible out of being a part of the International Music Camp. ” You are lucky to be united by the language of music, Solway helped you with improving english so you could easily communicate to your fellow campers, now use these tools to become a part of the bigger picture, enter the global music scene and who knows maybe once we will see you performing here in Salzburg at the grosses festspielhaus”, said Dan Bronstein.

Later today Solway fellows met other young creatives from Austria, Denmark, France, Israel, Germany, Turkey. Hungary, Check Republic and Slovakia. Together with the instructors in voice, music, dance and set designing they will spend the following week at the Schloss Arenberg developing and rehearsing their own version of Wozzeck Opera. The final public performance will take place on august 11 at 4:30 pm at one of the festival venues.

Next on the itinerary is the visit to the real dress rehearsal.  It is meant to fire the imagination of the young creatives and set their minds on creating a version of Wozzeck as seen from their perspective.
