#CHALLENGE

World Opera Day is an international initiative to showcase the ways opera companies and artists enrich the livelihood and civic fabric of their communities and to gain new enthusiasts, complete with its own special day…

Dust off your windpipes, take a breath and get ready to belt out your appreciation for the Opera and Musical Theater.

Not all of us may be very familiar with the definitions and distinctions surrounding this complex musical genre even least know how opera works behind the curtain. Let’s share the knowledge and share our passion with those who might yet to develop it!

How to get involved and rewarded?

  1. DMany question about opera, ballet, theater, music, history, art and architecture to our @creative.fellowship Instagram Account,
  2. On October 25, 2023, join our Instagram LIVE talk with the opera crime novelist Erica Miner to hear her 8 most fascinating questions pick-up,
  3. Be rewarded with an opera memorabilia item for your enthusiasm.

What does an opera singer have for breakfast? Who is the fat lady whose singing ends the show? How do ballerinas stay slim? Who opens the curtain at the opera house? Is opera for rich.

Ask anything you have always been curious about but feared to ask! There are no stupid questions as soon as they are about opera or related subjects.

On October 25, 2023 at 19.00 CET Erica Miner, an opera crime novelist will name the authors of 8 most fascinating questions.

The finalists will be also named in stories on our Instagram profile.

World Opera Day (worldoperaday.com) is held annually on October 25. It is a collaboration between OPERA America, Opera Europa, and Ópera Latinoamérica.
