Oedipus opera camp participants presented their version of the Oedipus opera at the Mozarteum University concert hall in Salzburg. One week 42 students from 17 countries under the guidance of the high skilled opera professionals worked on staging the story of the rise and fall of the mythical Greek King. All campers had a chance to introduce their talents to the public during this 60 minute performance. Those who volunteered to play in an orchestra performed together with the acting musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Others who preferred acting and singing over playing music instruments set their steps on the stage where they delivered a colourful and emotional storytelling that hardly left anyone indifferent. Solway Fellows said that their experience in staging this play was challenging and at the same time rewarding. Monica highlighted that never in her life she has worked so many hours per day under such a tight deadline, but the positive response from the public was worth it.
