After the successful founding of an opera studio at the Volksoper Vienna, the program will enter the second round from the 2024/2025 season.
The opera studio of the Volksoper Wien is a two-year program that supports young singers and pianists in their start into a successful professional life. The members receive regular coaching, master classes, language lessons and participate in productions on the stage of the Volksoper. In addition, the individual creativity of the individual members is also to be promoted, so smaller projects and concerts are created in addition to an annual own opera studio production. The goal is a lively, contemporary approach to musical theater in all its forms. Especially at a house like the Volksoper, where opera, operetta and musical are on the schedule, it is particularly exciting to immerse yourself in the range of our genre.
We are looking forward to numerous applications from young artists who are eager to help shape the future of music theater!
Applications will be received from the 2nd October 2023 adopted. The deadline for entry is the 3rd. December 2023.

In a second round in January 2024, auditions will take place in Vienna, in which the final selection of the opera studio will be made.
