June 1 , 2021. Zurich, Switzerland. In honor of the International Day of Children and Youth, young artists from Guatemala, Ukraine, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, and Austria will share how they envision “happiness”.
For the past two months, @creative.fellowship initiative for promising young talents has worked with SAAS Gallery in London in order to host a Promising Young Artists contest and accompanying exhibition.
For three weeks, the partners held an open contest for students aged between 11 and 21 studying in Guatemala, Ukraine, North Macedonia, UK, and Austria, accepting free submissions under the theme “Happiness”.
On June 1, 2021, the International Day of Children and Youth, thirty of the submitted artworks pieces chosen by the selection committee will be featured as a “Collection of Happiness”. This exhibition will be independently curated by Petra Zublasing, an Italian Olympian and visual artist. Due to the logistical obstacles presented by the pandemic, SAAS Gallery will host this exhibition virtually at https://www.saas-london.com.
From June 1, art lovers will be given an opportunity to vote for their favorite 14 exhibits which will be featured in a special 2022 calendar. The calendar will be printed and distributed amongst the project participants. Voting will take place on the @creative.fellowship Instagram account.
The virtual exhibition Collection of Happiness is held within a framework of the @cretaive.fellowship partnership with the Salzburg Festival’s “Jung&Jed*r” program for children and youth in collaboration with the SAAS Gallery, London.
