The Creative Fellowship Foundation is thrilled to congratulate “Buchim” and “Borov Dol,” the generous donors of our “Book of Humanities” project in North Macedonia, on the remarkable success of the Macedonian national team at the 17th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) 2024, held in Beijing, China. Thanks to the support from Buchim and Borov Dol, the team secured one silver and three bronze medals in this prestigious global competition.
Buchim and Borov Dol have consistently demonstrated their commitment to fostering creativity, culture, and scientific excellence. Their sponsorship enabled the Macedonian Geographical Society (MGS) to prepare and send a highly motivated and well-equipped team to represent Macedonia on the global stage.
The IESO, known for its rigorous challenges, embraced the 2024 theme “Big Data for Our Earth,” challenging participants to solve complex problems in geology, meteorology, environmental science, and astronomy. The team’s achievements at the IESO are a testament to the potential and talent of young Macedonian scientists, marking the country as a rising star in the global geoscience community.
This success is part of Buchim and Borov Dol’s broader strategy to improve living conditions in local communities, support educational and cultural initiatives, and promote sustainable development in the region.
