The Solway Music Fellowship Organizing Committee in cooperation with The Salzburg Festival Fund representatives have selected 30 applicants from Macedonia and Ukraine who will continue their exciting journey on the gateway to the Stardrome, i.e. Salzburg music camp for youngsters. More than 120 creatives, aged 13 – 16, expressed their interest in applying for the program. The Committee’s final choice was based on creativity, self-presentation and artistic skills the applicants demonstrated in the videos they sent to the Organizing Committee.

Selected applicants will now undergo 20 weeks of English language training in order to reach the second elimination round that will take place in late April 2017. The second round will be judged based on the applicant’s 90-second creative video, which is filmed in English and expresses the applicant’s self-presentation skills and demonstrates his/her talents in artistic disciplines.

Elimination rounds will take place in Ukraine, Macedonia and Guatemala, in the cities of Solway Group enterprises’ residence.

The Solway international fellowship for the participants of the music camp for youngsters will be awarded to 6 finalists (2 for each country) of the elimination round based on the collective decision of the jury. The jury will be represented by the Salzburg Festival Fund, the creative team of the Opera Camps, and the chairman of the board of Solway Investment Group.

The winners will spend a week without parents in the Salzburg castle. They will also visit a rehearsal and go backstage in the Baden-Baden Theater. At the end of the week the participants will present their opera to an audience. The international opera camp for teenagers, 14-17 years old, will take place in August 2017.
